Select Board Interviews a NETA Employee for the Cannabis Mitigation Advisory Committee

On February 4th, 2020, a candidate for the newly-formed Cannabis Mitigation Advisory Committee appeared before the Select Board to interview. At the beginning of the interview, she identified herself as a resident of the Brook House (high-rise complex from which absolutely no NETA-related calls have been received since March 2019). NETA’s 2020 License Renewal Hearing

On December 17th, 2020, around 7:30pm, NETA appeared before the Select Board to negotiate the terms of their 2020 operating license for retail marijuana. Although this was a public hearing, Chair Greene relabeled it twice at the very beginning as a “hearing for the benefit of NETA.” Sadly, the proceedings only went downhill from there. NETA’s Report on its 2019 Community Meeting

On September 24, 2019, NETA held its required annual Community Meeting at the Brookline Public Library. On October 11th, they released a report allegedly summarizing and responding to this meeting. Unfortunately, NETA’s report seems to describe an event very different from the one attended by its neighbors, many of whom shared earnest accounts of the marijuana retailer’s impact on their lives since the shop’s expansion into recreational sales only 6 months earlier.
